About The Position

Allegiance is hiring a part-time Security Officer for an education facility. The role provides security coverage as needed Monday through Sunday; evening, overnight, or weekend coverage may be required. On-the-job training is provided. The officer assists Allegiance management, follows post orders and other directives, monitors security cameras, interacts professionally with the public, and helps investigate loss or damage to client property. The position requires standing or walking for multiple hours, potentially for an entire shift, on surfaces including tile, concrete, carpet, grass, and dirt. Officers also gather statements, write reports, interview and observe individuals, and document information professionally.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to work all shifts.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and follow rules, instructions, and lawful orders.
• Ability to cope with stressful work situations.
• Physical stamina and dexterity.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Ability to detect building safety hazards, communicate them to appropriate staff, and follow mandated safety requirements.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain a guard license.

Responsibilities

• Assist Allegiance management with delegated duties and functions.
• Follow written and verbal directives, post orders, Allegiance policies and procedures, and other directives.
• Stand or walk for multiple hours, potentially an entire shift, on various surfaces.
• Monitor security cameras.
• Promote public relations and awareness and deal tactfully with the public.
• Assist in investigations concerning loss or damage of client property.
• Obtain detailed statements, write reports, interview and observe, and document information professionally.
• Detect safety hazards within the building, communicate them to appropriate staff, and follow mandated safety requirements.
