About The Position

We are looking to add a Sr. Business Analyst (BA) to our team to further enhance our capabilities and sustain delivery excellence to our clients. As a BA, you will support a federal agency where the Karsun team is responsible for backend system development, operations and maintenance, data management, data transformation, data integration, IT Security Support, and data analytics. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting requirement analysis, performing validations, preparing documentation, and delivering training to end users.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business Systems, Management Information Systems, IT Management, or other IT degree
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience
  • Significant capabilities in system development requirements gathering and analysis
  • Strong problem solving and design skills
  • Strong communication, writing and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Expereince working with key client stakeholders to define and document business processes including functional and technical system requirements
  • Experience with application development methodologies such as Agile including writing user stories/epics and acceptance criteria using Jira or Rally
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous work streams, including projects and program initiatives, and prioritize, manage, and execute effectively with compressed timelines and ambiguous tasking
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of and complete relatively complex tasks, effectively using available resources, as needed, with minimal guidance
  • The ability to successfully obtain and maintain a U.S. Suitability/Public Trust Background Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the product owners (POs) and sustainment manager as a member of a team consisting of developers, network engineers and other SMEs to: Finalize requirements and maintain product backlog
  • Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria and gain consensus
  • Help team with testing (System, Functional and UAT)
  • Contribute to release planniny activities to establish release notes and communications for the program.
  • Collaborate with the product Team monthly to prioritize the team backlog, set work priorities, identify risk, collaborate with development team members to document progress
  • Use JIRA and other tracking software to track user stories and synchronize with high-side JIRA via weekly exports to be integrated with development efforts in other enterprise programs
  • Work closely with testing team and participate and coordinate various testing activities.
  • Document SOPs and technical specifications.
  • Create user and update user manuals
  • Develop training presentations
  • Perform the role of a lead Business Analyst/Scrum Master
  • Negotiate deliverables by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT (developers and testers) from initial requirements to final implementation.
  • Deliver client presentations, facilitate Joint Application Design sessions, and assist in the completion of required deliverables
  • Translate high level business requirements into user stories and acceptance test criteria using Agile methodology.
