About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current student in an accredited respiratory program.

Responsibilities

• Sterilize reusable equipment and maintain inventory in decontamination and stock rooms.
• Maintain respiratory supply areas throughout the facility by ordering essential supplies and establishing and maintaining PAR levels to reduce waste and conserve hospital materials.
• Maintain the department’s capital equipment inventory and coordinate preventive maintenance for equipment.
• Complete performance checks and calibrations on ventilators and other critical equipment before returning them to service.
• Order critical rental equipment and ensure its prompt return to minimize facility expense.
• Supervise and train respiratory therapy aids in performing their jobs.
• Audit charges and charting for accuracy.
• Comply with applicable federal and state laws, the OLOLRMC Standards of Conduct, and departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
• Follow safety, quality assurance, infection control, and quality patient care standards.
• Use equipment, supplies, facilities, and resources prudently and efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
