About The Position

The Respiratory Therapist Assistant performs duties requiring expertise in assembling, transporting, disinfecting, calibrating, and troubleshooting respiratory-related equipment. The role works under direct supervision, maintains appropriate equipment levels in respiratory work areas, and assists with procedures and tasks as directed. The assistant may also help train new personnel on routine therapy assistant functions. This position is with West Jefferson Medical Center, part of LCMC Health.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent, or two years of work experience.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Care Program or be registry eligible.
• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider certification (CPR/BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with assembly and cleaning of Respiratory Care equipment.
