About The Position

The Respiratory Therapy Assistant performs duties requiring expertise in the assembly, transport, disinfection, calibration, and troubleshooting of respiratory-related equipment. The position works under direct supervision, maintains appropriate equipment levels in respiratory work areas, and assists with procedures and other tasks as directed. The assistant may help train new personnel on routine therapy assistant functions.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent, or two years of work experience.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Care Program or be registry eligible.
• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (CPR, BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with assembly and cleaning of Respiratory Care equipment.
