About The Position

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse licenses for states in the specified region.
• Five years of experience in a community or long-term care setting.
• Geriatric assessment skills.
• Knowledge of dementia care.
• Computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource for clinical leaders, other functional-area leaders, and team members on resident care matters.
• Collaborate with Operations and other functional areas to manage day-to-day, emergency, and crisis situations in the best interests of residents, team members, and the company.
• Verify that communities and Directors of Nursing adhere to resident care policies, procedures, protocols, and corporate strategic initiatives.
• Review, edit, and approve state-reportable incidents before submission.
• Help communities remain survey-ready and perform mock surveys as needed.
• Assist with candidate selection and interviews for care leadership positions.
• Provide virtual and in-person orientation to care leadership roles as needed.
• Provide ongoing education, particularly on policies and procedures, and mentor care team leaders and team members.
• Serve as a temporary Interim Director of Nursing at the community level when requested.
• Travel regionally as operational needs require.
