About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in post-surgical care and be comfortable working with a diverse patient population. The unit specializes in common patient diagnoses such as abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity (bariatric surgery). The patient demographic is adults. Specialty equipment used includes IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes. The shift is from 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM. Please note that block scheduling is not guaranteed, and floating to other units may be required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing.
  • Travel experience is required.
  • Active NY nursing license and verification through NURSYS.
  • Current AHA BLS certification.
  • Valid driver’s license with an address matching the demographic requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.

Responsibilities
