About The Position

The Receptionist is responsible for the front desk operations of a healthcare facility. Your role will involve greeting patients, scheduling appointments, handling inquiries, and maintaining patient records. As a Receptionist you will perform clinical tasks such as: You will greet patients and visitors warmly, in person and over the phone You will schedule and confirm patient appointments You will maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy. You will update patient accounts and collect copays when needed. You will handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and provide general information. You will keep the reception area clean, stocked, and organized. You will help with supply orders, inventory management, and courier coordination. This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

Requirements

  • One year or more of healthcare, customer service or call center experience
  • Experience handling multiple phone lines and high call volume
  • Value-based care model experience
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Experience working in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
