About The Position

Requirements

• Native-level Slovak language skills and cultural awareness of Slovak and Slovakia.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organization and attention to detail, with a commitment to quality.
• Ability to understand and prioritize tasks and issues quickly and efficiently.
• Ability to follow testing instructions and test cases accurately.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic problems and communicate or escalate testing issues effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Background in marketing, journalism, copy editing, proofreading, writing, translation, or localization.

Responsibilities

• Write and report relevant bugs and errors through the internal database system, following best practices.
• Understand and prioritize tasks and issues efficiently.
• QA products by accurately following testing instructions and test cases.
• Discover and report defects using client-specific bug-tracking tools.
• Evaluate translations in the context of software, mobile apps, and documentation.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for Slovak linguistic issues, researching and resolving language questions.
• Follow project-specific quality standards, trademarks, style guides, client-preferred checklists, and glossaries.
• Troubleshoot basic problems, communicate effectively, and escalate testing issues when needed.
• Complete assigned tasks with quality and timeliness.
• Review localized content for linguistic accuracy, fluency, consistency, formatting, and cultural or contextual fit.
• Explore user interfaces to identify localization or functional issues and verify that implemented fixes are correct.
• Translate content from English into Slovak from time to time.
