About The Position

ZipStaff is hiring a QA Tester for a major Midwest utility. The tester will join an embedded Agile product team to plan and perform manual testing of digital applications, validating complete customer and co-worker journeys across systems and integrations. This is an 11-month contract based in St. Louis, Missouri.

Requirements

• Experience creating and executing manual test cases and scenarios.
• Experience with functional, system, integration, end-to-end, regression, exploratory, and negative testing.
• Experience documenting, tracking, retesting, and closing defects.
• Experience in an Agile/Scrum product delivery environment.
• Hands-on experience with Zephyr Scale, Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Three or more years of hands-on manual software testing or QA experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to determine test coverage.
• Write and execute detailed manual test cases and scenarios.
• Perform functional, integration, system, end-to-end, regression, exploratory, and negative testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution, then retest fixes.
• Validate business rules, data flows, and integrations across multiple applications.
• Participate in Agile team activities and support production release validation.
