About The Position

Electronic Arts is hiring a Sr. QA Tester for the Quality Verification Team, embedded within the American Football Game Team. The role works with producers, engineers, artists, and designers to test and analyze the game product, define and execute the team's test strategy, and champion product quality. This is a hybrid position based in the Orlando office, with at least three days per week onsite. It is a temporary 12-month contract.

Requirements

Associate’s degree or equivalent industry experience in an embedded environment, preferably in Quality Assurance.
Experience with testing and defect-tracking software, preferably Jira.
Experience writing test documentation, including test cases and test plans.
Experience with different gaming platforms.
Understanding of white-box, gray-box, and black-box testing practices.
Knowledge of software development methodology and stages, including milestones, sprints, Alpha, and Beta.
Strong knowledge of American Football.
Good written and verbal English-language skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with collaboration tools, preferably Confluence, Miro, Slack, or similar tools.
Experience working with off-site teams.
Experience working with LLMs such as Gemini or ChatGPT.
Desire to use innovative testing methods such as automation and data.

Responsibilities

Build working relationships with development, production, and design team members to find bugs and identify opportunities to improve overall quality.
Consider the game from a player's perspective and identify ways to improve the player experience.
Communicate testing progress and status effectively, verbally and in writing, to appropriate managers and team members.
Use a Player First approach, advocate for the quality players receive, and be the voice of quality.
