About The Position

Electronic Arts is seeking a Sr. QA Tester for the American Football Quality Verification Team. Embedded in a game team, you will work with producers, engineers, artists, and designers to test and analyze the game product. You will define and execute the team’s test strategy and champion product quality. This is a hybrid role based in the Orlando office, with at least three days per week onsite. The position is temporary and is a 12-month contract.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent industry experience in an embedded environment, preferably in Quality Assurance.
• Experience with testing and defect-tracking software, preferably Jira.
• Experience writing test documentation, including test cases and test plans.
• Experience with different gaming platforms.
• Understanding of white-box, gray-box, and black-box testing practices.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and stages, including milestones, sprints, Alpha, and Beta.
• Strong knowledge of American Football.
• Good written and verbal English-language skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with collaboration tools, preferably Confluence, Miro, Slack, or similar.
• Experience working with off-site teams.
• Experience working with LLMs such as Gemini or ChatGPT.
• Desire to use innovative testing methods such as automation and data.

Responsibilities

• Build working relationships with development, production, and design team members to find bugs and identify opportunities to improve overall quality.
• Consider the game from a player’s perspective and identify ways to improve the player experience.
• Communicate testing progress and status verbally and in writing to appropriate managers and team members.
• Use a Player First approach, advocate for the quality players receive, and be the voice of quality.
