About The Position
CALRegional is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated part-time Clinical Medical Assistant Lead Instructor to join their team in partnership with Vallejo High School. This role is ideal for medical professionals looking to supplement their income while making a significant impact on aspiring healthcare professionals. No prior teaching experience is required. The instructor will be responsible for advancing student learning through exemplary instruction, following an established course outline, and assisting in student learning outcomes. They will also maintain current knowledge in the subject matter and effective teaching strategies, uphold professional standards, facilitate skill labs with an assistant, and grade assignments and exams.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a directly related field required.
- Familiar with A&P, Medical Terminology, Basic Pharmacology and Medical Math.
- Front office experience.
- Back office procedures EKG, Urine, Vitals, BPs, Temps, Injections, Adult-Pediatric, minor wound trays, and bandaging experience.
- Must be energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately.
- Ability to mentor students and hold them accountable to program standards.
- Comfortable with computers and technology.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Current CPR certification.
Nice To Haves
- Career Technical Education or similar teaching credential preferred.
- No teaching experience required
Responsibilities

- Maintain appropriate standards of professionalism and conduct.
- Facilitate all required skill labs with an assistant skill instructor
