About The Position

This position assists with research-related activities, including participant recruitment, data collection, tracking, and data entry. It also provides health education related to research activities and programmatic support for Health Promotion department programs, events, and activities. The position works within funding-source program directives, the philosophical framework set forth by the ʻElepaio Social Services Board of Directors, and the existing network of community service providers and natural helpers.

Requirements

• An associate degree in a health-related field or a certificate in health.
• Complete foundational human subjects research training within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Sustainable Food Systems, or a health-related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in community programs and/or research.
• Knowledge of community-based participatory research.
• Knowledge of Native Hawaiian culture.

Responsibilities

• Assist with participant recruitment, data collection, tracking, and data entry.
• Provide health education related to research activities.
• Provide programmatic support for Health Promotion department programs, events, and activities.
• Work within the program directives of the funding source, the framework set forth by the ʻElepaio Social Services Board of Directors, and the community services network.
