About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for material management activities for a project or jobsite. You will ensure conformance to corporate policies including the receipt, inspection, storage, inventory control, physical security, and issue of materials and equipment. You will monitor employee utilization, work hours, and staffing. Your efforts will help ensure accurate, efficient, and timely material management. This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.

Requirements

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8 -10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of materials management automated systems, interfaces between systems, and how data is shared and managed.
  • Ability to blend materials management with project work packaging strategy.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of the full scope of materials management functions on a construction project, including personnel required to execute known workload.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Broad understanding of standard field procurement procedures, including knowing the requirements set forth in the Standard Work Process Procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for material management activities for a project or jobsite.
  • Ensure conformance to corporate policies including the receipt, inspection, storage, inventory control, physical security, and issue of materials and equipment. You will monitor employee utilization, work hours, and staffing. Ensure accurate, efficient, and timely material management.
  • Responsible for material management activities for project temporary operating and jobsite locations on a medium sized project.
  • Identifies the need and completing the action for all UOS&D material and equipment received at project temporary operating and jobsite locations.
  • Initiates actions to identify and dispose of material and equipment declared excess to project needs by project management.
  • Prepares recommendations for facilities and equipment necessary to provide for professional material management operations at project temporary and jobsite locations, as specifically directed by the Project Field Procurement Manager – this activity begins as early as practical in the planning stages and continues throughout the project
