About The Position
The Porter will be responsible for maintaining the facility by cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing. This includes removing trash, refreshing the bath area by cleaning toilets and sinks, and refilling hand towel and toilet paper dispensers. The role also involves cleaning floors by washing and vacuuming, maintaining furnishings by dusting and polishing furniture and glass surfaces, and restocking housekeeping supplies. The Porter will also be responsible for keeping equipment operating by following instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs. A key aspect of the role is maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with security regulations. The position also involves updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and enhancing the housekeeping reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1 year of related experience
Responsibilities

- Refreshing bath area by cleaning toilet, and sinks; refilling hand towel and toilet paper dispensers.
- Cleaning floors by washing and vacuuming floors.
- Maintaining furnishings by dusting and polishing furniture; cleaning and polishing glass surfaces.
- Keeping supplies ready by restocking housekeeping supplies; ordering new supplies as needed.
- Keeping equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
