About The Position

The Heavy Duty Porter performs detailed cleaning and maintenance across assigned areas, including beverage stations, restrooms, locker rooms, the casino floor, and housekeeping equipment. The role uses specialized floor-care and cleaning equipment, handles cleaning supplies and chemicals, moves furnishings, and assists with stockroom inventory and supply delivery.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Knowledge of floor-cleaning equipment.
• General knowledge of chemicals, shampoos, strippers, and wax.
• Ability to work on elevated surfaces using scaffolding and ladders.
• Must be able to work with a variety of chemicals.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior cleaning or hotel housekeeping experience preferred.
• Previous experience using a hi-lift preferred.

Responsibilities

• When assigned to the Beverage area, maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the station, including wells, counters, and floors.
• Sweep and vacuum carpeted areas.
• Extract or shampoo carpets on a scheduled basis.
• Clean brass.
• Assist regular shift team members in maintaining restrooms and the casino floor.
• Operate extractor equipment, floor scrubbers, shampoo machines, polishing machines, and special vacuum cleaners and scrubbers.
• Perform heavy-duty detail cleaning of restrooms and locker rooms.
• Move office furnishings and items as directed.
• Clean interior and exterior windows as directed.
• Maintain logs for equipment usage.
• Assist with inventory of stockroom items received from the warehouse to ensure proper quantities and quality.
• Deliver supplies to the vessel.
• Clean all Housekeeping equipment.
• Maintain cleaning supply inventory and identify damaged bottles or drums for replacement.
