About The Position

Commerce Casino is the world’s largest card casino offering more than 200 tables. Established in 1983, the casino values its staff of over 2,500 employees and is proud to be known as “Where the World Comes to Play.” This posting is for Poker Games (Hold 'Em, Omaha, Stud). This job posting is for Poker Games only, and this is NOT a posting for California Games (Paigow Poker, EZ Baccarat, Blackjack).

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of dealing experience or dealer school certificate.
  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent certificate and/or one year dealing experience.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and understand English.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Successful completion of a dealer audition and in-house dealer training.
  • Must demonstrate positive/enthusiastic approach to all assignments.
  • Attendance and punctuality are an essential function of the position.
  • Working in an unenclosed area where smoking is permitted is an essential function of the job.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and enforces integrity of all games consistent with company and departmental dealing procedures.
  • Understands and is responsible for following department procedures, Company policies and procedures, and the Dealing Procedure Manual.
  • Deals all games in an effective and concise manner, pursuant to departmental dealing Procedures.
  • Follows collections procedures to ensure that collections are properly obtained and recorded.
  • Greets players and provides excellent customer service.
  • Assists customers in any customer service requests, i.e., calling for food server, porter or supervisor.
  • When pushed, informs dealer next on rotation of information, which could affect gaming operation.
  • Notifies Floorperson or Shift Manager of any suspicious activity, discrepancies or mistakes in games that could disrupt the flow of the game or create a potentially hazardous condition.
  • Responsible for keeping assigned section safe and orderly.
  • Required to sit in forty (40) minutes at a time, for at least an eight (8) hour shift.
  • May be required lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds for various job related duties.
  • Must be able to work full-time during tournament season and any overtime as required; with or without notice.
  • Hand shuffling is an essential function of this position.
  • Employee must be able to perform duties without wearing tinted glasses, as such can affect the integrity of the games.
  • Performs all other work-related duties as assigned by Casino Management.
