About The Position

The Experienced Poker Dealer provides accurate, efficient, and courteous dealing at assigned table games. The dealer follows game procedures for Poker and other listed games, handles wagers and chip and cash transactions accurately, determines and pays game outcomes, and maintains game security. The role also helps customers understand game rules and supports a positive guest experience by providing superior customer service while following company policies, departmental procedures, and state regulations.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Prior poker experience required.
• Must successfully complete a basic math test and pass an audition demonstrating adequate Poker skills.
• Ability to quickly and accurately perform mathematical computations to determine winners and losers and collect and pay bets.
• Good manual dexterity for quick and accurate handling of chips, cards, and money.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions in stressful situations in a fast-paced environment with coworkers and guests.
• Good oral and written communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk, and to move easily around the pit area and entire property for an entire shift.
• Ability to listen and respond to visual and aural cues, with excellent peripheral vision.
• Ability to tolerate secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality.

Responsibilities

• Deal assigned table games accurately and efficiently, following game procedures for Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Poker, Baccarat, and other forms or variations of table games.
• Provide prompt, courteous, and accurate dealing at assigned tables.
• Follow company and departmental policies and procedures and applicable state regulations.
• Perform accurate chip and cash transactions.
• Receive customer wagers and pay appropriate game outcomes.
• Maintain game security and protect company assets.
• Assist customers in understanding game rules and ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
• Support and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
