About The Position

Requirements

• High School diploma
• 6 college units of Early Child Development, Early Childhood Education or other related field with emphasis on infant to pre-school age children.
• Successful completion of at least 48 college credit units or passage of a competency assessment.
• Copy of Transcript (Transcripts Showing 6 ECE Units)
• CPR/First Aid Certification (Requires a valid First-Aid card and CPR certificate)
• Proof of HS Graduation - High School Diploma or High School Transcripts or equivalent (ex: GED)
• NCLB Compliance (48 college units (semester) or pass the Paraeducator Proficiency Exam)
• Resume (Provide clear evidence of required experience)

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in a preschool age enrichment program or child care setting is preferred.
• May require a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assists one or more Early Childhood teachers in the education, care, supervision, and instruction of pre-school aged children.
• Maintains and prepares classroom and related environments, materials, and control of forms.
• Assists in developing play-oriented curriculum.
