About The Position

Requirements

• At least eighteen years of age.
• Hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Have received a passing score on one of the assessments approved by the Paraeducator Board; OR Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university; OR Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university; OR Have completed an apprenticeship as a paraeducator, in a program registered with the Washington State Apprenticeship and Training Council.
• Provide a copy of a High School diploma or HS transcripts, or acceptable equivalent document upon hire.
• Provide official post secondary transcript(s) upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Instructional duties within a Special Education self-contained setting (individually or in small groups).
• Assisting with behavior issues of high needs Special Education students.
• Assisting with personal hygiene issues of high needs Special Education students.
