LTS Paraeducator (ECS)
About The Position
Cromwell Public Schools is hiring a long-term substitute Paraeducator for Edna C. Stevens School. The Paraeducator will work with a variety of students with disabilities, supporting them throughout their school day in diverse classroom settings under the direction of special education and/or regular education teachers. Duties may include therapy activities, toileting, lifting, field trips, life skills instruction, and other duties assigned by the teacher and/or building principal. The position pays $115 per day for 6.5 hours of work, from 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., including a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Sick and personal time and health insurance are offered. Availability is tentatively mid-November through mid-December.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Experience working with students.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree, 60 college credits, or a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment; preferred but not required.
