Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Functional knowledge with applications and activities including basic data entry into manufacturing software system.
• Ability to read and write the English language.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and assisting professional painters in their daily tasks.
• Using, supplying, and holding materials or tools for the Painter.
• Cleaning the work area.
• Setting up parts to paint.
• Stripping, sanding, masking, and touching up surfaces.
• Manually blending finish to match surrounding areas.
• Regulating controls on equipment to cure and dry paint or other coatings.
• Cleaning spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
• Monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with industry standards.
• Recording types and amounts of paints used for environmental regulation reporting.
• Recording completion of painting operations on planning documents.
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by cleaning paint booth area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Reporting to work on time, following instructions from supervisor or management, interacting well with co-workers, understanding and following work rules and procedures.
• Crosstraining in different processes within the department.
• Cleaning the site after painting work is done.
• Performing other various duties as needed or as assigned.
