About The Position
Mint Cannabis is hiring a Staff Accountant who is ready to help keep their financial systems sharp, their records clean, and their team audit-ready. This role requires a detail-driven, Excel-savvy individual motivated by doing things the right way. The Staff Accountant will record daily transactions and sales across retail and wholesale operations, process accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank statements, prepare monthly financial reports, support audits, ensure tax compliance, organize financial records, collaborate on month-end and year-end closings, and assist in tracking budgets and creating expense reports.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, accounts payable/receivable specialist, or in a similar finance-related role
- Acumatica or comparable accounting software experience preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and budget tracking
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and financial documentation tools
- Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Facility Agent Card (if required)
- Must be able to sit for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
Nice To Haves
- Experience in retail or cannabis industry is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
