About The Position
Desert Valley Hospital is seeking a PBX Operator / Receptionist to join its team. The role answers the switchboard and overhead pages, greets people, and directs them to appropriate departments. The operator monitors hospital alarms and must be familiar with hospital emergency-code policies and procedures. The position also requires the ability to communicate with the population served.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required for new hires effective April 1, 2014.
- Previous experience in an office or receptionist role.
- Effective written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize needs to meet required timelines.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous PBX experience.
- Customer service experience.
Responsibilities
- Answer the switchboard and make overhead pages.
