About The Position

The Control Room Operator is a front-line member of Land O’Lakes, Inc.’s manufacturing team in its Purina Animal Nutrition business. The role supports production processes that transform raw materials into high-quality products for customers, including operating machinery and equipment and packaging finished products. The position is on 3rd shift, from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Weekends, overtime, and holidays may be required as needed.

The operator follows safety and quality processes, meets production deadlines, adapts to changing needs, maintains an organized work area, and collaborates with Leads and Management to complete daily assignments. The work involves active movement, lifting, wearing personal protective equipment, and extended periods in cold and/or hot environments, potentially including areas with dust and chemicals.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• At least 1 year of work experience in any industry.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve, and troubleshoot.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, and a respectful approach.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform frequent active movements, including walking, standing, bending or stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, and climbing.
• Ability to perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment.
• Ability to work for extended periods in cold and/or hot temperature zones, potentially in areas where dust and chemicals are present.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of manufacturing work experience.
• Machine operation and/or forklift experience.
