About The Position

As a member of the C&S Wholesale Grocers family of companies, SpartanNash is a food solutions company that distributes grocery and household goods through a global supply chain network. The Night Forklift Operator operates a forklift to move, load, unload, relocate, and stack merchandise. The role also pulls and stages orders for delivery, handles inbound and outbound shipments, and moves products to dispersing trailers. The operator is responsible for safe and efficient vehicle operation and for keeping facility equipment neat, clean, and orderly.

The position works under close supervision, follows clearly defined standard operating procedures, takes direction, and communicates with team members. Employees must be able to work in a warehouse environment for assigned 8–10-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary and assigned. Travel requirements vary by assignment.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Basic technical skills.
• Ability to work under close supervision and follow clearly defined standard operating procedures.
• Ability to work assigned 8–10-hour shifts, including days and night hours, weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary and assigned.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed.
• Ability to work in warehouse conditions with changes in temperature and humidity and usually moderate-to-high noise levels.

Responsibilities
