The Ice Cream Basic Operator performs routine duties involving handling, packing, and casing products, and regularly assists with line sanitation and production-floor cleanup. The role is usually seasonal; in the event of a temporary layoff or workforce reduction, handpacking reductions occur first within this employee group. Operators are also expected to champion specific skills and coach others. This position is night-shift oriented and requires flexibility across shift patterns, including evening and overnight hours. Employees must be able to work any day of the week and adapt to schedule changes based on business needs. Shift schedules listed include 12-hour nights from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. on a 2/2/3 rotation, third shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., and second shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The role may require 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts and overtime. The stated pay range is $18.50 per hour, paid bi-weekly, with a $2.00 night-shift differential for bonus-eligible employees. The company describes a reward package that typically includes health and wellbeing support, time off, learning and development, medical, dental and vision coverage effective immediately, a 401(k) match, tuition and fitness reimbursement, free ice cream, life insurance, uniforms, safety-shoe subsidy, safety-glasses discount, and access to the company store.
