About The Position

Ice Cream Scoopers, described as “Purveyors of Yum,” create magical and memorable moments in the parlor for guests. They greet guests, help them select handcrafted flavors and curated merchandise, answer questions, process sales, and maintain the parlor. This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt, tip-eligible position with night and weekend availability.

Requirements

• Previous retail or food-service experience is preferred.
• Flexible schedule availability, including weekends, holidays, days, and evenings.
• Ability to operate a POS system.
• Basic math skills.
• Strong communication and guest-service skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights for extended periods.
• Ability to form in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, scoop and serve ice cream, answer questions about flavors, provide personalized recommendations, and ensure consistent, correct scoop sizes.
• Process sales, returns, and exchanges using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Promote sales and loyalty programs and use upselling techniques.
• Restock shelves, arrange merchandise, set up displays, maintain cleanliness, and perform inventory tasks such as receiving shipments.
• Keep the store visually appealing, organized, and well-stocked.
• Follow safe work practices and security policies to help prevent theft.
• Assist with other tasks as needed.
