About The Position

Ice Cream Scoopers (Purveyor of Yum) create magical and memorable moments in the parlor for all guests. They provide a positive guest experience by greeting guests, helping them select handcrafted flavors and curated merchandise, answering questions, processing sales, and maintaining the parlor. This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt, tip-eligible position with availability needed for nights and weekends.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail or food service is preferred.
• Flexible work schedule, including weekends, holidays, days, and evenings.
• Ability to operate a POS system.
• Basic math skills.
• Strong communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights for extended periods.
• Ability to perform in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage guests, answer questions about flavors, make personalized recommendations, and serve consistent, correct scoop sizes.
• Process sales, returns, and exchanges using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Promote sales and loyalty programs and use upselling techniques.
• Restock shelves, arrange merchandise, set up displays, maintain cleanliness, and perform inventory tasks such as receiving shipments.
• Keep the store visually appealing, organized, and well-stocked.
• Follow safe work practices and security policies to help prevent theft.
• Assist with other tasks as needed.
