About The Position

Simpson Strong-Tie is hiring a Machine Operator for a full-time, hourly position in Gallatin, Tennessee. The role performs tasks to keep equipment running, including minor setups and troubleshooting equipment issues. The position reports directly to the Department Manager and is supported by the department’s Team Leads. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime as needed. No domestic travel is required, and relocation is not available.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Mechanical ability and commitment to safety, including demonstrating safe work practices and promoting a safe work environment.
• Accountability and dependability, including reliable and punctual attendance.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Use blueprints to visually inspect products for conformance to print specifications and track conformance using the Screw MFG Inspection sheet and SPC program.
• Change tools and adjust machines back to proper specifications.
• Perform housekeeping and daily machine maintenance, and troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
• Drive a forklift to retrieve raw material or deliver finished products to the outbound staging area.
• Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
