About The Position

CKS Packaging is hiring a Blow Mold Operator in Urbana, Illinois. The operator runs, adjusts, and maintains stretch blow mold or extrusion equipment while meeting quality and safety standards. Candidates are sought for second and third shifts. The role includes supporting efficient production, troubleshooting processing issues, monitoring product and material flow, assisting with changeovers and coworkers, maintaining housekeeping standards, and participating in progressive training.

Requirements

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
Knowledge and experience with hand tools.
Possess the tools required to perform job duties.
Ability to properly start up and shut down blow molding machines.
Basic processing skills.
Working knowledge of computers and touch-screen operation.
Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment.
Ability to accurately complete production and quality documentation.
Strong attention to detail.
Dependable, punctual, and flexible.

Responsibilities

Ensure production equipment operates at optimum efficiency.
Troubleshoot and repair processing issues.
Start and stop production equipment as needed.
Monitor finished product flow, clear jams, and resume process flow as needed.
Monitor and maintain material levels.
Assist with changeovers as needed.
Assist utility and packaging employees and provide breaks as needed.
Maintain housekeeping standards by sweeping, mopping, and wiping down equipment when necessary.
Participate in the coordination and completion of progressive training required to advance to the next level.
Perform other duties as assigned.
