About The Position

The Machine Operator works at Batavia Container Inc. in Batavia, Illinois, on the second shift. The position pays $20.00–$26.00 per hour. The operator supports safe and efficient machine operation, produces quality work, and leads Assistant Machine Operators through machine setup, startup, operation, and shutdown. The role also includes production data entry, machine cleaning, housekeeping, quality inspection, and following documented procedures and work instructions.

Previous corrugated industry experience.

Responsibilities

Follow and support facility safety requirements.
Document and enter Production Data Entry (PDE).
Clean the machine and follow zone housekeeping procedures for the assigned work area.
Maximize machine utilization by adhering to operating standards.
Strive to generate quality production.
Inspect incoming sheets for quality, correct size, board grade, and caliper.
Guide Assistant Machine Operators in machine setup, startup, operation, and shutdown tasks.
Manage color and print where applicable.
Follow documented procedures and work instructions, including food safety programs, OSHA regulations, and designated PPE requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.
