About The Position

Halliburton is seeking a Machine Operator, with consideration for qualified candidates at the Senior Machine Operator level. Under general supervision, the role sets up, adjusts, and operates a variety of machine tools, including CNC and numerical-control lathes, mills, drills, and manual machines. The work may involve reading blueprints, performing shop mathematics associated with machining operations, and carrying out inspections to verify work. The operator may specialize in a machining process or machine type, or operate a single-purpose machine involving multiple processes. The company is seeking qualified CNC machinists with experience building parts for the oilfield industry. Candidates who exceed minimum requirements may be considered for higher-level roles depending on experience, additional requirements, and business needs. The position is based at 700 Pont de Mouton Road, Lafayette, Louisiana. The night shift runs Monday through Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.; overtime may be required on Friday based on business needs.

Requirements

• Typically 2–3 years of related machining experience.
• CNC machining experience building parts for the oilfield industry is sought.
