About The Position
Afinitas is Hiring for a Machine Operator. This role involves operating machinery in a plant/manufacturing environment, ensuring quality standards, and performing preventative maintenance. The company is a global leader in equipment, forming systems, and accessory products for transportation, water, and utility precast concrete infrastructure. Afinitas is part of Barry-Wehmiller, a global manufacturing and engineering consulting firm.
Requirements
- Qualified operator for all three saws
- Qualified to read prints and complete miters meeting Hawkeye standards
- Qualified to setup and program all three saws for automatic cutting operations
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal/communication skills required
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities
- Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment
Responsibilities
- Startup and shut down machines as recommended by maintenance
- Operate the machine in such a manner to meet Afinitas quality standards
- Operate the machine in both a safe and productive manner
- Perform required preventative maintenance
- Read prints and complete miters meeting Afinitas standards
- Setup and program saws for automatic cutting operations
- All other duties as assigned
