About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of and passing the test for an approved Nursing Assistant program in the state.
• Listed on the State’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct daily care to residents.
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transportation or transfers.
• Assist with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
• Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner, including changing linens, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside areas and closets, and cleaning bathrooms.
• Assist with resident laundry, ensuring clothes are marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away; notify a supervisor of clothing needs.
• Prepare residents for meals, assist with meal service, and feed residents as needed.
• Follow direction from the nurse manager, licensed nurses on duty, or other supervisory staff.
• May be cross-trained in Assisted Living.
