About The Position
Covenant Living is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide direct daily care to residents in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. The role supports the organization’s purpose of creating joy and peace of mind for residents and their families in a supportive, faith-based community. The position reports directly to the nurse manager and may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff. CNAs assist residents with personal care and may also support activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services. The role may be cross-trained in Assisted Living.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of and passing the test for an approved Nursing Assistant program in the state.
- Listed on the state’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct daily care to residents.
- Assist residents with basic personal care, including bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transportation or transfers, according to procedures and daily assignments.
- Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner, including changing linens, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside tables, shelves, and closets, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Assist with resident laundry, ensuring clothing is marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away; notify a supervisor of clothing needs.
- Prepare residents for meals and assist with serving meals and feeding residents.
- Assist with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services as needed.
