Nursing Assistant Trainee (CNA)
About The Position
The Nursing Assistant Trainee receives hands-on training and mentorship to develop essential skills for caring for residents. This entry-level opportunity includes classroom instruction, lab instruction, and clinical experiences to prepare trainees for the Certified Nursing Assistant exam. The paid training program lasts five weeks and runs Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Successful completion leads to a guaranteed full-time, permanent position at Bethel Health Care Center on the second or third shift. The role is based at 13 Parklawn Drive, Bethel, Connecticut 06801. The position offers an opportunity to learn fundamental nursing skills under supervision, assist nursing staff with daily resident care, and support residents with activities of daily living. Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Interest in the nursing needs of older adults and chronically ill people, with the ability to work with both.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Engage in training programs to gain knowledge of healthcare protocols and procedures.
- Learn and apply fundamental nursing skills under supervision.
- Assist nursing staff in providing daily care to residents.
- Support residents with activities of daily living, including bathing and grooming.
- Collaborate with the care team to support residents’ well-being.
- Attend class, lab instruction, and clinical experiences to prepare for the Certified Nursing Assistant exam.
