Nursing Assistant Trainee (CNA)
About The Position
Bethel Health Care Center is hiring an entry-level Nursing Assistant Trainee for a paid, five-week Certified Nursing Assistant training program. Training runs Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and includes classes, laboratory instruction, clinical experiences, hands-on training, and mentorship to prepare trainees for the Certified Nursing Assistant exam. After successful completion of training, the position guarantees full-time employment and permanent job placement at Bethel Health Care Center on the second or third shift. Trainees learn to provide compassionate care to residents, including older adults and people with chronic illnesses, while working under the guidance of experienced healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Interest in the nursing needs of older adults and people with chronic illnesses, with the ability to work with both.
- Passion for healthcare and a desire to learn and grow in a long-term care setting.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Participate in training programs to learn healthcare protocols and procedures.
- Learn and apply fundamental nursing skills under supervision.
- Assist nursing staff in providing daily care to residents.
- Support residents with activities of daily living, including bathing and grooming.
- Collaborate with the care team to support residents’ well-being.
- Attend class, laboratory instruction, and clinical experiences to prepare for the Certified Nursing Assistant exam.
