About The Position

Regency Hospital - Minneapolis is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Nursing Assistants provide compassionate care to patients throughout that process. The role is located in Golden Valley, Minnesota, and is scheduled per diem/PRN in 12-hour shifts, with compensation of $25 per hour.

The position includes an extensive orientation program. Strong performance and dedication may lead to potential full-time opportunities. Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience of at least 3 years.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or experience in a related field such as medical assisting.
• BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers when necessary and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
