About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Nursing Assistants play a central role in providing compassionate care. This per diem role is based at Select Specialty Hospital Camp Hill and involves 12-hour shifts. Compensation is $20.00 per hour, with shift differentials for nights and weekends.

The hospital provides an extensive orientation program to support a smooth transition into the setting. Employees may demonstrate their skills and dedication for potential advancement to full-time opportunities. Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience of 3 or more years.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or experience in a related field such as medical assisting.
• BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers when necessary and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
