About The Position
Covenant Living is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide daily direct care to residents in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. The role supports the organization’s purpose of creating joy and peace of mind for residents and their families in a collaborative, respectful, service-oriented, faith-based community. The position reports directly to the nurse manager and may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff. The CNA assists residents with basic personal care according to procedures and daily assignments, including bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transportation or transfers. The role also supports activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services. Duties include keeping resident rooms clean and orderly, assisting with residents’ clothing and laundry needs, preparing residents for meals, serving meals, and helping residents eat. The CNA may be cross-trained in Assisted Living.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of and passing the test for an approved Nursing Assistant program in the state.
- Listed on the State’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct daily care to residents.
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transportation or transfers.
- Assist with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
- Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner, including changing linens, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside areas and closets, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Assist with resident laundry, ensuring clothes are marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away; notify a supervisor of clothing needs.
- Prepare residents for meals, assist with meal service, and feed residents as needed.
- Follow direction from the nurse manager, licensed nurses on duty, or other supervisory staff.
- May be cross-trained in Assisted Living.
