About The Position

Requirements

• Current Wisconsin RN licensure.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Ability to move freely, including standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling, and to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform patient care procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and relevant competencies to assess patients’ physical conditions and nursing needs, and develop plans of care collaboratively with patients and the interprofessional team.
• Coordinate patient care needs with the interprofessional team to support high-quality care and clinical outcomes.
• Provide clinically specialized care and perform professional RN functions appropriate to patients’ ages, developmental needs, and cultural backgrounds.
• Identify opportunities to improve the patient experience, streamline care processes, lower costs, and support quality and patient, family, and team member satisfaction.
• Contribute to a professional environment that encourages mentoring, engagement, and development to retain expert clinicians.
• Consult with physicians and other interprofessional team members, maintain positive working relationships, and collaborate to solve problems and improve patient care.
• Anticipate and proactively manage risks to prevent crises.
• Perform skillfully during life-threatening emergencies and match demands with available resources during crises.
