About The Position

Requirements

• Current enrollment in an accredited nursing school
• Must provide proof of completion of the first year/fundamentals of nursing (or equivalent)
• Knowledge of basic nursing techniques and procedures and aseptic practices is required
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to maintain effective working relations with others, including patients, families, physicians, and other hospital associates
• BLS required upon start
• Four shifts per 6-week schedule
• One Saturday or Sunday, one minor holiday/ major holiday

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with our nursing (RNs, Nursing Assistants) and therapy teams
• Assist patients in their rehabilitation process
• Encourage and support patients through the recovery process and gently guide them to reach their goals
• Obtain vital signs
• Assist patients with daily activities
• Promptly answering call lights
• Report any issues or progress observed
• Reinforce rehab techniques as assigned by the therapy team
