About The Position

KidsStreet Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their growing team in Wake Forest, NC. This role focuses on providing patient-centered care to help patients feel better quickly. The services offered include urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care setting. This opportunity is suitable for new graduates, with comprehensive training and ongoing support provided, including a complimentary pediatric urgent care course and an on-call provider for clinical decision-making. FNPs will utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics, which helps keep skills sharp and enhances marketability. The role emphasizes leadership, with providers acting as the medical authority in the clinic, supported by treatment protocols and medical assistants. A significant aspect of the role is supporting families in the community by providing accessible care, accepting Medicaid, and being open 362 days a year to avoid costly ER visits. This position is described as a career launchpad, with a commitment of two years expected.

Requirements

  • Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers cost).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suture.
  • Splint.
  • Conduct General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist).
  • Handle General Dermatology.
  • Address General eye problems.
  • Perform General EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize Emergency management skills.
  • Apply General GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide Occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct Telemedicine.
