About The Position

CVS Health is hiring a part-time Regional Provider to deliver quality, clinic-based healthcare at Pomona, California, and surrounding HealthHub locations. The weekday evening schedule is 4:00–8:00 p.m. or 4:30–8:30 p.m. The role focuses on in-person care; virtual visits may be conducted from the clinic when onsite patient volume is lower and doing so will not delay or interfere with in-person care.

MinuteClinic providers deliver affordable, accessible, comprehensive care with clinical support, collaborative resources, and evidence-based tools. Providers have autonomy to manage their practice, can work at the top of their license, and receive charting and follow-up time within their scheduled shift. The role is part of a clinic environment recognized by the ANCC Pathway to Excellence designation.

The stated local pay range for Pomona is $73.00–$84.50 per hour, based on experience. The posting also gives a typical pay range of $46.03–$99.14 and says the position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program. Requirements

• Master’s degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current national board certification from AANP or ANCC.
• Active, unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner license in good standing.
• Obtain and maintain multistate licensure based on business needs.
• Ability to provide holistic, evidence-based care, including counseling related to pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices.
• Ability to order and administer vaccines and injections.
• Complete a DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to pass a respirator fit test.
• Physical presence at the assigned clinic is required.
• Ability to perform duties involving prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to perform Basic Life Support.

Nice To Haves

• One year of Nurse Practitioner experience is preferred; qualified new graduates may be considered.
• Bilingual proficiency may be required depending on market needs.
• Experience with the EPIC electronic health record.
• Prior MinuteClinic precepting rotation is preferred for providers with less than one year of experience, but is not required.
• Experience conducting patient assessments and exercising sound clinical decision-making in a virtual care environment.
• Familiarity with digital health tools and virtual communication technologies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based primary and family care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Provide in-person and virtual visits from the clinic to support positive patient health outcomes.
• Perform diagnostic testing, preventive counseling, and treatment of injuries and illnesses, and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
• Engage patients in wellness services, chronic disease management, and preventive health screenings.
• Complete clinic operations, including inventory management, clinic opening and closing, patient follow-up, insurance verification, and payment collection.
• Support a safe and efficient care environment through routine examinations and timely patient appointment management.
• Provide holistic care, including counseling related to pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices.
• Order and administer vaccines and injections, including COVID-19 and influenza vaccines, TB testing, and Depo-Provera.
