About The Position

Physician Practice Enhancement is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner with neurology or ICU experience to work one week per month at Monmouth South in Lakewood, New Jersey. This is a round-and-go position with phone call coverage until 7:00 PM. The schedule is Sunday–Monday, one week per month, with a typical volume of 1–5 patients per day. Compensation is $75–$85 per hour, plus an additional daily call stipend. The role uses Epic EMR and offers a flexible schedule with a manageable patient census.

The Nurse Practitioner will provide neurological assessment and management for ICU patients, conduct daily rounds, monitor clinical progress, evaluate patient conditions, and develop treatment plans. The position involves collaboration with intensivists, neurologists, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members, along with documenting evaluations, plans, and progress in the medical record. The NP will respond to patient needs, provide call coverage until 7:00 PM, and support continuity of care through communication with the clinical team.

Requirements

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in New Jersey.
• Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the medical team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous neurology, neurocritical care, or ICU experience is preferred.
