About The Position

Physician Practice Enhancement is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner with neurology or ICU experience to work one week per month at Monmouth South in Lakewood, New Jersey. This is a round-and-go position with phone call coverage until 7:00 PM. The schedule is Sunday through Monday, one week per month, with a typical volume of 1–5 patients per day. Compensation is $75–$85 per hour, with an additional daily call stipend. The EMR is Epic. The position offers a flexible round-and-go schedule and a manageable patient census.

Requirements

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in New Jersey.
• Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the medical team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous neurology, neurocritical care, or ICU experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide neurological assessment and management of ICU patients.
• Conduct daily patient rounds and monitor clinical progress.
• Evaluate patient conditions and develop treatment plans.
• Collaborate with intensivists, neurologists, nursing staff, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress in the medical record.
• Respond to patient needs and provide call coverage until 7:00 PM.
• Support continuity of care and communicate treatment recommendations to the clinical team.
