About The Position

Athena Care is an insurance-based mental health practice serving Tennessee and is hiring a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for its Nashville team. The practice offers psychological testing, IOP/PHP, Spravato/IM Ketamine, TMS, psychotherapy, group therapy, and general psychiatry. The role provides outpatient psychiatric care to adults, adolescents, and/or children experiencing behavioral health challenges. The clinician will conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnose, develop treatment plans, prescribe and manage medications, write progress notes, and collaborate with the broader care team. The position involves maintaining timely and accurate documentation in the EMR, keeping licensure and DEA registration current, and contributing as an engaged member of a multidisciplinary team. Requirements

Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Tennessee APRN/RN licensure in good standing.
Board certification in psychiatry.
Current, valid DEA registration.
Open to a schedule that includes Friday as a work day.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience providing mental health services.
BLS Certification.
Comfort with EMR systems and standard technology tools.
HIPAA knowledge and commitment to ethical, patient-centered practice.

Responsibilities

Provide outpatient psychiatric care to adults, adolescents, and/or children navigating behavioral health challenges.
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnose patients.
Develop treatment plans.
Prescribe and manage medications.
Write progress notes and maintain timely, accurate documentation in the EMR.
Collaborate with therapists, PMHNPs, psychiatrists, psychologists, and the broader care team.
