About The Position

Mindify Wellness and Care is seeking Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP-BCs) to provide psychiatric care onsite at a partner adult day care center in Cape May, New Jersey, and through telehealth to patients throughout New Jersey. The role offers an established patient caseload, ongoing referrals, flexible scheduling, administrative support, malpractice insurance coverage, and access to a collaborating psychiatrist through a collaborative agreement. Providers work with therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals and may have opportunities for professional growth as the organization expands.

Onsite availability in Cape May is required; this is not a fully remote role. The partner center generally operates Monday through Friday, with typical hours of 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Onsite coverage is generally needed 1–3 days per week. Specific days and hours are discussed based on provider availability and center needs, and telehealth appointments may be scheduled on onsite days or additional days. Flexible part-time scheduling opportunities are available.

This position is offered as a 1099 independent contractor opportunity. Compensation is $70–$90 per completed initial psychiatric evaluation and $40–$60 per completed follow-up medication-management visit, based on experience, credentials, qualifications, and clinical expertise. Malpractice coverage and the collaborative agreement apply only while actively contracted with Mindify and do not extend to outside employment or private practice. Part-time or full-time W-2 opportunities may be considered in the future based on organizational needs and mutual interest.

Requirements

• Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active New Jersey RN license.
• Active New Jersey Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) certification.
• Current PMHNP-BC certification.
• Active DEA registration.
• Active New Jersey Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) registration.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication-management, and communication skills.
• Ability to provide onsite psychiatric services in Cape May and telehealth services to patients located in New Jersey.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience as a PMHNP is preferred; newly certified PMHNPs with relevant psychiatric experience are welcome to apply.
• Experience in outpatient behavioral health, geriatric psychiatry, telehealth, or community-based settings is preferred.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-up medication-management visits.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat psychiatric and behavioral health conditions using DSM-5-TR criteria.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.
• Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress, treatment effectiveness, and medication side effects.
• Provide education to patients and families about psychiatric conditions and treatment.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR.
• Collaborate with therapists, social workers, and other members of the treatment team.
• Conduct clinical risk assessments and address patient concerns as appropriate.
• Follow HIPAA requirements, professional standards, and organizational policies.
• Provide onsite psychiatric services in Cape May and telehealth services to patients located in New Jersey.
